Orlando Attractions

Orlando attractionsIf Florida travel is in your future, you'll want to consider visiting Orlando attractions. Orlando is the top travel destination in the entire U.S., and it's no wonder!

With impressive beaches, Disney theme parks & water parks, and tropical temperatures nearly year round, how can you go wrong?

Most Popular Orlando Attractions

In addition to the Disney parks, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, and Universal Studios are also "hot" spots in this popular vacation spot.

For an experience that is truly out of this world, you may want to consider a visit to the Kennedy Space Center.

The Orlando area also features alligator parks, shopping centers, and museums that will keep you on the go!

Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Aquatica

Owned and operated by the same management, these 3 parks offer unique adventures to visitors of all ages. If you plan to visit more than 1 of these Orlando attractions, check for special prices on package deals.

You can return for free, to the park you purchased tickets for, for a second day of fun (within 14 days of initial visit).

No, you can't buy a ticket for Busch Gardens and use your free ticket for Sea World...too bad, that would be one very sweet deal! Check the ticket counter for details on the second day free offer.
  • Sea World

Located right in Orlando, Sea World is the ultimate marine adventure park. The massive 200+ acre grounds offer water performances, exciting (sometimes wet...) rides, and up close and personal encounters with sea creatures of all sizes.

  • Aquatica

Located across the street from Sea World, this new water park is a recent addition to the exciting list of Orlando attractions that you'll want to check out.

In typical Sea World fashion, Aquatica includes dolphins and other marine animals, a lagoon colored by beautiful fish, and the opportunity to see aquatic creatures up close and personal.

This amazing new attraction features everything you expect from a water park - wave pools, water rides, a lazy river (in this case, not so lazy...), and slides (including an intense water slide that sends you head first).

Sea World has taken the water park concept a step beyond the expected with tubes that plunge you through underwater habitats, complete with beautiful tropical fist and dolphins. Shaded cabanas, complete with stocked refrigerators, are available for daily rental. And of course, there's a BBQ restaurant for you to indulge in tasty meals and treats.

Aquatica is closed for a few weeks during the year. If you'd like to visit this spectacular water park, check to make sure it will be open during your scheduled visit.

  • Busch Gardens Africa

  • Located in Tampa (1 - 1 and a half hours from Orlando), this park makes the Orlando list due to it's affiliation with Sea World and Aquatica. A shuttle bus service is available between the Sea World parks and Busch Gardens.

Orlando attractions Busch GardensIf you love crazy, death-defying roller coasters, you can't miss this park! Busch Gardens Africa is one of the top rated zoos in the U.S. and boasts spectacular tropical foliage, an exotic atmosphere, colorful shows, and encounters with beautiful animals.

Universal

Universal is comprised of 2 separate theme parks, Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure, and a water park, Wet & Wild. In addition, Universal offers an entertainment venue in CityWalk, complete with shopping and dining choices.

  • Universal Studios
This movie based theme park is complete with thrilling rides, entertaining shows, and exciting grounds that are just plain fun to be in!

  • Islands of Adventure
Younger kids may find this Universal park more to their liking. The attractions on these 5 islands feature comic book and storybook characters, cartoon heroes, and themes from childrens stories. Current plans include the addition of a Harry Potter section, coming in 2010.

  • Wet 'n Wild

This unique water park includes the typical pools, lazy river, and water rides, in addition to some amazing water adventures that make it one of a kind.

If you're into steep, you'll love Bomb Bay, a 76 foot slide that sends you down an almost totally vertical drop! Remember the 70's? Wet 'n Wild's Disco H20 ride will bring you back, complete with laser lights, flashing disco balls, and tunes from that incredible disco era!

Wet 'n Wild has a great ticket policy which allows you to visit as many times as you'd like for free, for 14 days beginning on the day of your initial ticket purchase.

Kennedy Space Center

Just a short 45 miles east of Orlando, the Kennedy Space Center is one of the many Orlando attractions that are both fun and educational. This is the only place on earth that you can meet (and even dine with) astronauts, view space launches, tour launch facilities, and experience an authentic flight simulator.
